Tami and a first time customer from Greeley--she has two granddaughter, one who is 3, and the other is to arrive the first part of January. I had some great grandma time talking about our little girls that will be coming into this world soon. Tami is expecting a new grandchild also!! I almost have little "Speed bumps" sweater done out of the Debbie Bliss Eco cotton and want to knit another for her with the Amy Butler yarn. There are some oh so soft stuffed toys to choose from also.

Now how they get possum into a yarn is beyond me. The only possum I have ever seen is on the TV or by the side of the road (not alive) The fingerless gloves we carry are made out of Rimu yarn, 60% merino and 40% possum. Do they farm the things? Anyway the gloves are wonderful and the green scarf in the photo are knit from the yarn. Come in and take a look at that for sure, it may be the closest you ever get to a possum.

Coffee any one??

I will be drinking my coffee in the morning out of one of these cute, did I say cute, orange mugs in the morning. Saturday mornings are loads of fun for me at Serendipity because all my knitting buddies show up and hang out, knit, laugh, and I enjoy a wonderful community of knitters for 2 hours. Come on in and get your cup, I will fill it up with coffee, you can visit, knit, shop if you wish and enjoy a morning with us. See you.

New Candles and loads of yarn

Joan has been building new displays with so many wonderful aromas from Archipelago.. I am a big fan of a number of the new candle scents. I will be spending $25.00 on Archipelago products so I can get my free gift of a 14 hours candle.

Meet Cindy who knitted this great scarf for her daughter who is attending her first year of college. She used some of the new Ty-Dy yarn to make this little number. We also received lots of new Noro and Ella Rae Chunky yarn today which will be out on the shelves soon. Come by, I will have the coffee on.

Somewhere over the Rainbow

Joan and I worked for hours on completing our Ella Rae rainbow. We added 300 skeins of new color to the display. Joan has a blue sweater going from this great "work horse" yarn. She is almost finished so photos should follow soon. There are lots of changes going on at Serendipity--come in and see us.

Everyone at the store is very excited to have a TALL person working--no more dragging out the step ladder all the time. Just putting in the last balls of yarn here-

You got to love NORO

Nancy is knitting this awesome Noro blanket!! She is left handed so it has been a bit of a challenge for her to master the entrelac technique.  She has been persistent and is well on her way to a beautiful piece to cover up with when the snow starts flying.

Mary Jo is cranking out socks for the "Summer Sock It To Me" contest which ends on Labor day. Congratulations to all you sock knitters who have been making some attractive foot wear.

This trio of ladies came and spent the day with us knitting at our table in the 'yarn heaven' loft. Rachel is from California, her sister Mary Ann, from Simla, CO and Harilita drove over from Ramah, CO. The men folk were going fishing and these gals conspired to meet at Serendipity while the guys caught supper. We loved having them spend time with us and hope more of you will head to the store if your man wants to fish for the day.
